HealthBars have red lines. It serves no use outside of combat, at least in sprawling open world games like Assassin's Creed where there isn't a set "level" you're progressing through and thus having lower health from one encounter to the next ramps up the difficulty of the later encounters. Thats basically what I would say to do, except to also slash and dodge when you can. Theway Origins handles higher level enemies is awful. I had a mission where I had to fight a level 32 enemy commander. I was at level 28, and he would take 2 health bars off me in 1 hit.
